Greeting Card Illustration
Calligra-Creatures
Depicted by singular strokes of a calligraphy brush, Calligra-Creatures are a unique style of wildlife art. The patterned images are rendered with a casual control, much like Oriental writing. The fluid blending of colors is the result of double-loading brushes with pigment and the osmosis of overlapping strokes. Most creatures are created with only a handful of spontaneous brushstrokes in just a few seconds. The Strokes of Genius award-winning Calligra-Creatures have been featured as book illustrations and in Cat Fancy and Southwestern Musician magazines. They have been sold as original, one-of-a-kind greeting cards at the Witte Museum and the Mission San Jose National Historic Site gift shops in San Antonio, Texas.
Other Calligra-Creatures include: armadillos, cats, dolphins, giraffes, rabbits, whales, zebras, crows, ducks, geese, herons, penguins, fish, frogs, dragonflies, grasshoppers, and more. All are available as sets of one-of-a-kind greeting cards and as larger pictures. Herds and flocks and schools of them are available to run wild on your print and web pages.
